The Florence Yellow Jackets were playing Griffin, Georgia in a night game. Lukie punted the ball above the stadium lights. I went down field to cover the punt. We lost sight of the ball until it dropped below the lights and with the bounce, he was given credit for an 80 yard punt. We won the game and Lukie got his scholarship”.
