1992 Graduate of Iowa State University with a doctorate of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Higher Education Administration with a cognate in Research & Statistics
2004 Studied at Harvard University’s Institute for Educational Management
Presently employed as 14th President of Paine College in Augusta Georgia

He is a member of Rotary International, Augusta Metro Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, Augusta Symphony Board of Directors and the Columbia Urban League
In 2008 the South Carolina Legislature awarded him with the Lifetime of Services Concurrent Resolution for his commitment as a teacher, administrator, author and researcher.
In 2009 Awarded the Distinguished Alumnus Award by S. C. State University
In 2009 Awarded the Distinguished Alumnus Award from the College of Human Services at Iowa State University
