1948 Graduate of the Milwaukee School of Engineering

On April 5, 2002 he was inducted into the Carolina’s Boxing Hall of Fame-
            Charlotte, N. C.
Complied a 53-3 record as a boxer
In 1948 he won the Carolina’s Golden Glove Open Featherweight Championship
In 1948 he won the Best Boxing Trophy, Most Popular Boxing and Senior Winner
              From Carolina’s Boxing Organization
In 1944 won the Knock Out Kid Trophy from Charleston Golden Gloves organization
Captain of the Florence Boxing Team
Received medals to recognize his accomplishments as Charleston Golden Gloves winner,   
          Charlotte Junior Golden Gloves winner and Florence Golden love Champion.


In 1943 served as co-captain of the FHS football team .
In 1946 & 47 he played center and was co-captain for his team in the Tobacco Bowl.
Also played baseball at FHS and American Legion Baseball.
First recipient of the Ira S. Rainwater Trophy.

1972-73 served as President of the Pee Dee Mechanical Contractors Association
