Troy "Webster" Williams

• 1947 Graduate of McClenaghan High School (Entered United States Army upon graduation from high school)
• 1955 Graduate of Furman University with double major in Psychology and Business Administration. He graduated Cum Laude with Honors. Received fellowship to Duke University and received degree in Industrial Relations.
• Won several awards in football as a player for McClenaghan
• Named to the South Carolina Shrine Bowl Team as a senior
• Played football with US Army Service Teams 1947-51
• As a freshman at Furman he was named to the South Carolina All State Collegiate Football Team
• As a sophomore at Furman he was named to the All Southern Conference Football Team.
• As a junior he was First Team All Southern Scholastic
• Key player on 1953 Furman University’s football team which was considered by many to be their most outstanding team for the period 1936-1960’s
• Four year letterman at Furman in football
• He worked 17 years with the Boy Scouts of America and coached youth football. He chaired his Church’s Library Board and also served on the Hospital Board and mentored underprivileged children.
