  • Graduated from West Florence High School in 1981
  • Graduated from Wake Forest in 1985 with a B. A. Degree in Communications
  • Played Tennis at Byrnes Academy 7th thru 9th grades and #1 singles as a freshman at Byrnes
  • Played on State Champion Byrnes team as a 7th grader in 1976 and was the #4 Singles Individual State Champion in 1975 & 1976
  • Attended West Florence High School where she was the #2 Singles/#1 Doubles 4A State Champion in 1978
  • Was the 4A State Champion in the #1 Singles/ #1 Doubles in 1979 & 1980
  • All Conference as a Junior and Senior in Singles and Doubles
  • WFHS Tennis Team MVP as a Junior and Senior
  • Received a Tennis Scholarship to play Wake Forest
  • Played at #3 Singles as a Freshman and finished third in the ACC with a 27-9 record
  • Regional All-American as a Freshman
  • Wake Forest Team MVP as a Sophomore and Junior
  • In Junior Tennis was ranked 31 in S.C. in Singles and Doubles for Girls 14, 16 & 18
  • Ranked in top 20 in the South in Girls 14, 16 & 18 and Nationally ranked in Girls 18
  • Twice selected to represent S. C. in the Junior Wightman Cup
  • Selected to represent S. C. in the prestigious Seventeen Tournament of Champions in 1977, 1980 and 1981 in Mission Viejo, California
  • Holds ten titles, 5 Singles and 5 Doubles, at the Palmetto Tennis Championships (qualifying tournament for the Southern and National Championships)
  • Ranked #1 in S. C. Women’s Open in 1982 and two time State Champion in Mixed Doubles
