Robert (Bobby) Lee O'Harra
- Graduated from Florence High School in 1941
- Graduated from University of South Carolina in 1948 with a BA in Education

- Lettered four years in football at FHS and was Captain his Senior year
- 1940 Golden Gloves Light Heavyweight winner

- Served as Block "C" President at USC and Blue Key Member
- Attended the University of South Carolina for football on full scholarship as QB and End in 1941

- Returned to USC in 1946 & 1947 and lettered all four years there in football
- Military Service
- Was in the Air Force from 1943-1946 and served as a four engine instructor in B-24 & B-29
- Recalled as a B-29 pilot for Korean conflict with the rank of Major from 1950-1951 and remained in
reserves thru 1982
- Community
- In 1966 he was appointed to the Recreation Board from the 6th District by Governor McNair
- In 1968 he was appointed to Florence County Council by Governor McNair
- Served as Section Center Postmaster from 1967‐1994
- Member of the First Baptist Church for 59 years
- Served as President of the Florence Chamber of Commerce in 1963
- President of the Lions Club and Member of the Salvation Army Advisory Board
- Florence County Social Services Board
- Member of the Board of the Bruce-Lee Foundation and the advisory Board to Carolina's Hospital System
- Member of the Morning Kiwanis Club
